John Slater has advised and assisted private and public companies implement strategic transactions for more than 30 years, initially as a practicing attorney and since 1982 as an investment banker. Over the past thirty years he has managed more than 200 M&A and capital raising transactions with aggregate values in excess of $3 billion. His experience includes mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, private placement of debt and equity, transition planning for family businesses, business valuation, going private transactions, industrial revenue bond financings and initial public offerings.
John is a Partner and member of the Executive Committee of FOCUS LLC, a national investment banking firm. His practice includes companies in a wide variety of industries. He has a strong personal interest in all aspects of digital media and communications, including internet video, podcasting, wireless communications and e-learning. He has advised numerous information technology and communications companies since 1982 when he assisted one of the pioneers in cellular communications in obtaining its initial seed capital. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics in 1970 and the University of Virginia Law School in 1973.

Phil Leigh is the President of Inside Digital Media. His company is both a market research firm and a website where thrice-weekly audio and video interviews are posted with thought leaders in the Digital Media industry. Phil has been quoted and interviewed by numerous publications, and television programs. Prior to organizing Inside Digital Media in 2003, he worked for three decades as an investment analyst specializing in communications, computer, and Internet technologies at such firms as The First Boston Corporation (predecessor to Credit Suisse) and Raymond, James & Associates. Phil holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
